Empowered Puppy Cognition Program
Newborn Care
What sets us apart is our Empowered Puppy Cognition Program. We utilize a combination of our Canine Cognition Certification, AviDog Breeder Recognition and 20+ years of developing dogs for pet, sport and therapy work.
Our puppies are raised with science based positive training methods utilized in Service and Medical Scent Detection Programs. This allows us to nurture each puppy's varied individual cognitive abilities.
Our customized Nursery is equipped with vet fleece for proper joint development and 24/7 camera monitoring.
We only raise 1-2 litters per year so we can focus extensively on the development of our puppies as well as continue to train and trial our dogs.
We are not a volume breeder.
Puppy Development
First we start with healthy, friendly, highly trainable and environmentally stable temperaments in our breeding dogs. We enhance this foundation with our Puppy Cognition Program.
Our puppies are handled multiple times a day for Neonate care, ENS/ESI, weighing, cleaning and love.
Each week of development we introduce age-appropriate sights, sounds, toys, games, puzzles and climbing equipment to build well rounded puppies mentally, emotionally, and physically.
We have a state of the art 250 sq ft indoor/outdoor puppy playground that focuses on building curiosity, confidence, and trust.

Follow Your Puppies Journey...
Upon placing a deposit on one of our puppies, you will be added to our private SunStone Puppy Facebook Page where you will get to follow along with your puppy's development from birth to pick up day.
I post photographs and videos of their weekly milestones and activities. The puppies receive over 650 hours of interaction with us in the 8-9 weeks that they are here.
On pick up day, you meet your new puppy and have the opportunity to meet the parents! We are one of the few breeders that allows new families to meet our dogs as testament to the temperament of our dogs.
Lifetime Breeder Support
We provide Lifetime Support for you and your puppy in a variety of ways.
We recommend Susan Garrett's On-Line Recallers Program that consists of 40 fun games. This program is positive reinforcement based, user friendly and designed to help you navigate through all the puppy and adolescent stages. It also offers some advanced training and free support.
I like to share educational blogs from Canadian Dog Training icons such as Susan Garrett (Dogs That/Recallers) and Jess Martin (Agile Dog Training) and Ford K9 Service Dog Training (USA) for those that would like to branch out into dog sports!
I also provide updates from Holistic Veterinarians regarding raw feeding, natural products, and the latest research on various topics.
Lastly, I am always available to chat by telephone, text, or email about your dog's nutrition and to support your dog's training. 😊
